Charlie Ticklefingers is an independently developed VR project by myself and a colleague. The game is an experiment, in which we are trying to fit the idea of infinite space into a finite space using a VR room-scale set-up. This means that in a play-area of 4m x 4m, we managed to fit about 100m2 of game space that the player traverses, without the need of controller input.
This is idea is contextualized in the form of a game, in which the player has to run away from a horror clown (Charlie Ticklefingers). Players will be running, crawling and sneaking through a house of multiple floors, all within that 4x4 space. This project was made in collaboration with Imagine Film Festival, where we showcased it, to great success.
We are currently in the finishing stages of the project, after which we will put it on the internet for free for people to try out.
